Monumental Execution for URS Transit Camps — Ajmer Sharif

Conventions & Exhibitions was entrusted by the Dargah Committee and the District Administration of Ajmer to engineer, erect, and manage the complete temporary transit township at Kayad Vishram Sthali for the annual international URS congregation. Spanning over 350,000 sq. ft. of uninterrupted covered infrastructure, the transit camp serves as the primary sanctuary and logistics hub for over 150,000 pilgrims arriving daily from across South Asia and abroad.

The project demanded monumental civil, structural, and electrical capabilities under tight turnaround schedules and harsh desert weather variations. Our engineering task force deployed specialized clear-span German aluminum hangars, multi-bay dormitory pavilions, 24/7 centralized control towers, industrial high-mast lighting grids, emergency medical encampments, and robust sanitation infrastructure with zero room for operational downtime.

Extreme desert wind gusts and sudden rainstorms required heavy-duty structural anchoring certified to 120 km/h wind loads.
High-density continuous pilgrim influx requiring dynamic crowd-management zoning, anti-stampede clearance corridors, and dedicated emergency exit pathways.
Round-the-clock uninterrupted utility grid with triple-redundant diesel generators powering continuous lighting, public address systems, and CCTV monitoring.
